It is a tradition for my daughter and I to color eggs every year around Easter. If I can afford it I buy her a basket with goodies inside, and we make a delicious Easter dinner.  

Great Northern White Beans w/ Ham

Today I am sharing a quick slow cooker recipe for White Beans & Ham:

16 oz package of dry white beans

Cubed ham

Salt

Pepper

Minced garlic

Slow cooker

I sort and rinse my beans making sure there are no rocks in the package. I cover with water add in seasonings and the ham and cook on high for 4 - 6 hours. When beans are tender, serve. I add chopped onion on my bowl of beans and sometimes even a little ketchup in the bowl and mix it up. The ketchup is something I have added since I was a kid. Serve with Jiffy Cornbread! 

Five Cup Fruit Salad topped w/maraschino cherry

 

I love this sweet delightful tasty treat! 

This recipe was passed down to me from my mother although I excluded the dream whip and sour cream. 

Five Cup Fruit Salad topped with a Maraschino Cherry 

1 cup pineapple chunks

1 cup mandarin oranges

1 cup coconut 

1 cup of marshmallows

Substituted 1/2 cup sour cream and 1/2 cup dream whip with

1 cup Cool Whip

Topped it off with a cherry just ot make it pretty. 

Let it sit in refrigerator for a few hours to chill and then serve it up!
